The Senior General Service Officer (General Service Officer) is responsible for leading the company’s facilities, fleet, asset, and general service functions. The role ensures smooth operation and upkeep of the company’s physical infrastructure and resources, while maintaining high service quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Office Management
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of office premises and company facilities.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of utilities (electricity, water, internet, etc.).
- Manage contracts and service delivery for janitorial, pest control, and security services.
- Supervise facility compliance with safety, health, and operational standards.
Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of company assets and equipment.
- Oversee procurement, tagging, allocation, and disposal of assets.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure asset security.
Transportation & Logistics
- Manage company vehicle usage, allocation, maintenance, and tracking systems.
- Supervise drivers, review logbooks, and monitor fuel usage and efficiency.
- Arrange staff transportation for official business.
Security & Safety
- Coordinate with external security providers to protect company property and personnel.
- Enforce health and safety policies and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and report safety or security-related incidents.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate office supply needs and maintain service contracts.
- Support office relocations or set-up activities.
- Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation for general services.
- BA degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 - 4 years of relevant experience in general services, HR or administrative support roles.
- Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior experience in the logistics or transport sector is an added advantage.
