ContractThe Opportunity
The position holder is primarily responsible for leading and implementing the WASH development as well as the humanitarian component of the integrated WASH, Health, and Nutrition project in Gambella regional state, and ensuring the linkage to the Country WASH Program at the project level. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of results in line with pre-agreed project plans and objectives, and oversees Project implementation at all stages throughout the project cycle. Given that a significant amount of the project thematic activities is done in partnership with key government sector offices, s/he will have also a key aspect of the role is nurturing, developing, and facilitating the achievement of results.
Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Health, or related disciplines.
At least 5 years relevant experience in water supply and sanitation development, construction supervision, and contract administration, of which a minimum of 2 years must be with an NGO.
Demonstrated experience in feasibility studies, design, construction supervision, and contract administration of solar-powered water supply and sanitation projects.
Experience in solar projects, including solar-powered water system design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
Strong experience in preparing BOQs, technical specifications, bid documents, evaluation, contract documents, and negotiation management.
Experience and knowledge of Water-CAD, AutoCAD, and related software is advantageous.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
