Main Duties and Responsibilities

Under the close supervision of the Insurance and Facility Management Supervisor, the Driver I, is responsible for the provision of transporting service to staff from one place to another, and moving miscellaneous materials, equipment and other office supplies to a variety of locations or sites of the company, whereby strictly respecting the traffic rules and regulations as well as with full caring of the car. 

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Ascertains that the car’s internal and external conditions like break, lights, mileage control gauge, tires, adequate engine oil, water and fuel etc, are operating appropriately; 

2. Drives safely and moves staff  from one place to another and transports miscellaneous, materials and office supplies  from one place to other;

3. Secures the safety of the passengers during the time of travel, arrives them to their destination correctly and timely; 

4. Continuously adheres and keeps traffic rules and regulations of the country; 

5. Often updates and organizes records of kilometer distance data or information and the time taken, as well as submitting it to immediate  supervisor; 

6. Carefully delivers staff and items from one place to another while dealing with the conditions of roads as well as weather situations; 

7. Cares and maintains the vehicle  safely whereas cleaning it as it is obligatory; 

8. Informs to immediate supervisor and to the traffic police immediately and gets traffic plan in case of accidents; 

9. Replaces flat tyres with good ones and gets the flat ones repaired;

10. Reminds supervisors of due dates for oil change and check up for vital parts; 

11. Reminds his/her supervisor the time for yearly vehicle inspection; 

12. Follows to the dressing and code of conduct;

13. Performs other related activities as assigned by immediate supervisor. 

From recognized collage/TVET 10+1 or level I certificate in Auto mechanics/Automotive Technology, automobile driver’s qualification certification permit(Category P-1) and 1year vehicle driving work experience

Or

12th/10th grade complete, 3rdgrade driving license and 1 year vehicle driving work experience

Or

8thgrade complete, 3rd grade driving license and 3 years vehicle driving work experience
