As a Hardware and Network Technician, you are responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable system performance, network security, and hardware functionality across the organization or client sites. The technician also supervises junior staff, and provides advanced technical support to maintain business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points).

• Implement and manage VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network security policies.

• Install and maintain UPS, datacenter power systems, racks, and related infrastructure in data centers

• Hands-on experience on installing structured cabling (copper & fiber) including terminations, patch panels, and rack organization.

• Fully understand and work network installations based on a given design.

• Maintain hardware inventory, asset management, and documentation.

• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting for escalated network incidents.

• Perform preventive maintenance on networking and hardware equipment.

• Able to conduct site surveys for solution design.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or Electrical and Computer Engineering

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in hardware and networking.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls.

• Expertise in structured cabling, rack installation, and fiber/copper terminations.

• Able to Supervise and mentor junior technicians and field staff.

• Certifications preferred CCNA/HCIA or CompTIA A+

• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours for field projects.

• Ability to work well in a team environment
