Job Title:         Graphics Designer

Reports to:      Marketing Manager

Location:         Head Office, Addis Ababa

1. Job Summary:

As a Graphics Designer, you will be responsible for central role in designing and delivering high-quality visual content that strengthens the brand identity, enhances customer experience, and supports marketing and communications efforts. You will be responsible for creating impactful visuals for digital and print platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines across all materials.

1. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

   1. Design visual content for marketing campaigns including social media posts, website banners, email headers, brochures, flyers, event materials, and advertisements.

   2. Develop social media graphics (images, carousels, reels thumbnails, short video) aligned with the brand’s visual tone and strategic messaging.

   3. Collaborate with the digital marketing and communications team to produce content calendars with graphic deliverables scheduled for consistent weekly output.

   4. Assist in the development of infographics, diagrams, and visual reports for presentations and internal/external stakeholder communications.

   5. Ensure that all design materials adhere to the Commercial Nominees brand guideline, using approved typography, color palette, and logo application.

   6. Support the creation and maintenance of proposal templates, and internal communications materials.

   7. Work closely with the content and digital teams to optimize visuals for engagement, clarity, and message alignment on all platforms.

   8. Stay updated with design trends, tools, and technologies, proposing innovations to improve design impact and efficiency.

   9. Manage the visual asset library, ensuring files are organized, reusable, and archived correctly.

2. Competency

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro or similar)

• Experience in social media content design, digital branding, and visual storytelling

• Understanding of digital marketing principles, UI/UX basics, and responsive design

• Excellent attention to detail, layout balance, and color harmony

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines

• Familiarity with motion graphics and basic animation is advantages 

Minimum Requirement

Bachelor's Degree in any degree with 1+ year of experience in graphic design, preferably in a corporate or creative environment
