Position Title:   Network and Support Engineer
Job Type:     Full time and permanent

Position Summary:

The Network and Support Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and end-user systems. The role ensures reliable network performance, provides technical support to users, clients, and assists in implementing IT projects.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, access points, firewalls, PBX and camera sytems).

• Monitor network performance and ensure uptime, reliability, and security.

• Manage VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching configurations.

• Maintain network documentation (IP address plans, diagrams, device inventory).

• Support VoIP systems, video conferencing, and email services.

• Prepare and set up new IT devices

• Perform routine maintenance and updates for IT infrastructure.

• Assist in setting up and supporting network cabling projects.

• Participate in IT infrastructure deployments (servers, networks, security solutions).

Required Qualifications

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 1–3+ years of experience in related field.

• Experience in IT service desk or system administration roles is an advantage.

• CCNA , HCIA (Huawei), CompTIA Network+ / A+ are Preferred but not mandatory

• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), and diagnostic tools like Wireshark, SNMP, ping, and traceroute for monitoring and fault-finding. 

• Knowledge of VMware, and cabling standards aids hardware maintenance.

• Proficiency in TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and switching technologies such as VLANs, STP, and EtherChannel is essential for routing and connectivity.

• Understanding DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VoIP supports core network functions.

• Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud platforms.
