Administer, develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security and meeting uptime SLAs of ECX enterprise database platform. Establish and implement policies to ensure backup and restore capabilities. Perform capacity planning, database tuning and table maintenance.

   Administers, develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and security of ECX enterprise database platform.

·         Establishes and implements policies to ensure backup and restore capabilities.

·         Performs capacity planning, database tuning and table maintenance.

·         Works with programmers and other IT staff to ensure database policies, procedures and rules are followed.

·         Creates and modifies database objects.

·         Establishes effective data replication techniques where applicable.

·         Ensures the database up time SLAs are met or exceeded.

·         Continually implements best practice ideas, practices and processes.

·         Serves as leading expert in database administration.

·         Proactively stays abreast of latest database technologies.

·         Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor

·         MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Software Engineering and related fields.

·         4/6 years relevant work experience.
