Job Description

MK Steel Manufacturing Plc is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure tax compliance, and prepare comprehensive financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Peachtree and ERP systems, along with a deep understanding of Ethiopian tax laws.

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable effectively.
• Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, and tax returns

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in accounting or finance, specifically with general ledger, payroll, or accounts payable/receivable.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) and proficiency in Peachtree or ERP software.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS, accounting principles, and tax laws (VAT, withholding tax, income tax).
• Soft Skills: High level of integrity, confidentiality, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent time management to meet deadlines.
