JOB DESCRIPTION

Assistant Customer Strategy planning (CSP) Manager – BWPC ROLE OVERVIEW

The Asst. CSP Manager reports to the CSP-BWPC Manager and is responsible for driving category growth through superior shopper activation, demand generation, visibility excellence and seamless deployment of execution assets across all channels.

The role translates brand and commercial strategies into impactful in-market execution by ensuring the right activations, visibility materials, and shopper engagement programs are delivered at the right outlet, at the right time, with the right level of investment and execution quality. The CSP Manager acts as the bridge between Brand, Customer Development, Supply Chain, Procurement and Field Sales teams to maximize shopper conversion and retail excellence.

The position is accountable for planning, producing, deploying, tracking, and optimizing all activation and visibility investments to drive market share, penetration, and profitable growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Activation Strategy, Planning & Execution

  1. Activation Planning

  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly activation calendars aligned with category priorities, innovation launches, seasonal peaks, and cultural moments.

  • Design channel-specific activation programs for Modern Trade, General Trade, Wholesale, Cosmetics Stores, Pharmacies, and emerging channels.

  • Ensure activations address clear shopper barriers and opportunities along the path to purchase.

b. Demand Generation

  • Develop shopper-centric demand generation initiatives that stimulate trial, recruitment, repeat purchase, and premiumization.

  • Drive category-specific conversion programs for core and innovation brands.

  • Champion in-store shopper marketing programs that influence purchase decisions at the point of sale.

  • Leverage consumer and shopper insights to improve activation effectiveness.

c. Activation Execution Excellence

  • Lead execution of all national and regional activations.

  • Coordinate BA deployment, route planning, training, and performance management.

  • Ensure activation mechanics, promotional compliance, and execution standards are consistently delivered.

  • Monitor activation productivity and optimize resource allocation based on performance.


d. Joint Business Planning (JBP)

  • Support negotiation and execution of activation commitments with key customers and strategic partners.

  • Ensure agreed visibility, promotion, and activation deliverables are executed on time and in full.

  • Track ROI and commercial effectiveness of customer activation investments.

2. Visibility Production, Deployment & Asset Management

  1. Visibility Strategy

  • Develop visibility plans that maximize share of voice and category leadership across channels.

  • Establish visibility standards by outlet type and channel.

b. POSM Production Management

Lead production planning and procurement of all visibility materials including:

c. Dispatch & Deployment

  • Manage end-to-end dispatch and deployment of visibility materials to regions and key distributors.

  • Ensure timely availability of activation kits and POSM before campaign launches.

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Planning, Logistics, and KDs to guarantee execution readiness.

  • Implement asset tracking systems to monitor utilization and deployment status.

d. Asset Productivity Management

  • Conduct regular audits to assess visibility, quality and compliance.

  • Track utilization of visibility investments and recommend redeployment where required.

  • Minimize wastage, losses, and obsolete materials.

 3. Market Execution & Perfect Store Excellence

  1. In-Market Monitoring

  • Conduct regular market visits across all channels. Evaluation: -

On Shelf Availability (OSA), Share of Shelf (SOS), Perfect Store compliance, Planogram adherence, Activation quality

b. Visibility Compliance

  • Identify and address execution gaps including:

Empty displays, Damaged POSM, Competitor encroachment

Job Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales Management, Business, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in the FMCG industry

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
