Cybersecurity Presales Engineer

Job summary:

The Cybersecurity Presales Engineer is responsible for providing technical cybersecurity expertise throughout the sales and business development process. The position involves understanding customer requirements, designing appropriate cybersecurity solutions, preparing technical proposals and tender documents, conducting product demonstrations, supporting solution presentations, and working closely with sales, technical, and vendor teams to develop competitive and technically compliant cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cybersecurity solutions based on customer requirements.

• Develop security architectures for networks, data centers, endpoints, cloud environments, and enterprise systems.

• Recommend appropriate cybersecurity technologies, products, licenses, and services.

• Engage with customers and Conduct cybersecurity product demonstrations for customers to understand their cybersecurity requirements, challenges, and business objectives.

• Conduct technical discussions, discovery meetings, and site assessments.

• Analyze existing IT infrastructure and identify cybersecurity gaps and risks.

• Translate customer business requirements into appropriate technical cybersecurity solutions.

• Prepare technical requirement specifications and solution recommendations.

• Work closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to identify and qualify cybersecurity opportunities.

• Review and analyze cybersecurity-related tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and technical specifications.

• Prepare technical responses to tender requirements.

• Develop compliance matrices and technical compliance documents.

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), equipment lists, licensing requirements, and technical specifications.

• Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, diagrams, and implementation approaches.

• Identify technical deviations, risks, assumptions, and exclusions in tender documents.

• Coordinate with vendors and distributors to obtain technical information and quotations.

• Ensure proposals meet customer specifications and tender requirements.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

• Relevant experience in cybersecurity, network security, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity presales.

• Experience in technical proposal preparation and customer-facing technical engagements is highly desirable.

• More than 2 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity presales or deployment, preferably with team leadership experience.

• Certification in cybersecurity is required
