Job Summary

The Dispatch Officer prepares daily dispatch schedules and trip documentation at the Dire Dawa branch and follows each truck through to delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare daily dispatch schedules and trip documentation.

• Record truck assignments, driver details, cargo information, and departure times.

• Coordinate truck and driver assignments with the dispatch team.

• Track vehicle movements and follow up on cargo delivery status.

• Communicate with drivers about trip progress, delays, and operational issues.

• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update the relevant systems.

• Report breakdowns, delivery delays, and other dispatch problems to the supervisor.

• Support preparation of daily dispatch reports.

Job Requirements

• BA/BSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport Management or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; transport operations experience is an advantage.
