Fleet Accountant

Job Description

JR Petroleum PLC is pleased to announce a hiring opportunity for our sister company, Desta Kassie Bulk Fuel Private Transport. We are seeking an exceptional and detail-oriented Fleet Accountant to join the team.

• Verify accurate distribution of fuel and travel allowances to drivers.

• Monitor fuel variances and investigate discrepancies between expected consumption and actual receipts.

• Reconcile vendor statements from credit fuel stations with internal dispatch records prior to payment processing.

• Verify accurate deduction of driver loan repayments from truck dispatch settlements.

• Prepare and deliver periodic summary, fuel shortage, and credit fuel reports for management review.

• Reconcile fuel and allowance accounts with general ledger entries during monthly closings.

• Maintain organized, audit-ready files for all fuel receipts, driver logs, and loan settlement records.

• Maintain strong working relationships with fleet management, dispatch teams, and external fuel vendors.

• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Experience: 2–3 years of relevant professional experience (fleet, logistics, or transport accounting preferred)
