Job Description

Selam Hospital is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its Human Resources function in Dessie. The role oversees recruitment, staff relations, performance management, and compliance for hospital personnel, with a strong preference for candidates who understand the unique demands of HR in a medical/healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for clinical and non-clinical staff

• Develop and implement HR policies aligned with hospital operations and labor law

• Oversee employee relations, disciplinary processes, and performance evaluations

• Handle payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management

• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor regulations and healthcare staffing standards

• Support workforce planning, training, and staff development programs

• Maintain accurate personnel records and HR reporting

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's a plus)

• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience; experience in a hospital or medical/healthcare setting strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and HR best practices

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in HR information systems and MS Office

• Fluency in Amharic; English proficiency preferred

• Must be willing and able to relocate to Dessie town (candidates from other cities are welcome to apply)
