Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and reliable HR Officer to oversee daily human resource operations. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, employee documentation, leave administration, payroll inputs, and ensure strict compliance with Ethiopian Labor Law (Proclamation No. 1156/2019) and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Draft job vacancies, screen incoming applications, and coordinate interview schedules.
Facilitate seamless onboarding, orientation, and integration process for new employees.
Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and manage background checks.
2. Personnel Administration & HR Records
Maintain complete, up-to-date, and secure digital and physical employee personnel files.
Track annual leave, sick leave, attendance records, and staff movements.
Coordinate probation period reviews, employment contract renewals, and exit clearances.
3. Compliance & Employee Relations
Ensure full organizational compliance with Ethiopian Labor Law (Proclamation 1156/2019).
Handle staff grievances, disciplinary matters, and promote a positive work culture.
Assist in implementing safety, health, and wellness practices across offices.
4. Payroll & HR Analytics
Prepare monthly payroll data inputs (overtime, deductions, allowances, leave without pay) for the finance team.
Manage staff pension registrations and registration documentation with relevant authorities.

Job Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Work Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven work experience in HR management roles.
Legal Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Law (Labor Proclamation 1156/2019) is required.
Technical Skills & Tools
•Software: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software/HRIS platforms.
•Reporting: Strong capability in drafting formal corporate letters, memos, and employment contracts.
Languages & Interpersonal Skills
Attributes:
Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, conflict resolution abilities, and strict confidentiality.
Languages:
Fluent in written and spoken Amharic and English.
