About the Role

MIT Academy is seeking experienced Lead Trainers to coordinate and deliver demand-driven agricultural skills training under the Education and Skill for Employability Project (EASE) in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technical trainers across assigned training locations.

• Develop and customise training materials, lesson plans, and practical assessments.

  Advertisement

• Deliver competency-based agricultural training aligned with industry requirements.

• Coordinate short-term training, on-the-job training, and apprenticeships.

• Monitor trainee performance, training quality, and learning outcomes.

• Prepare training progress reports and maintain project documentation.

• Collaborate with project teams and industry stakeholders to support employment outcomes.
  

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's (BSc) /Master's degree (MSc) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Rural Development, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields.

Experience:

• Proven experience leading trainers in skills development or vocational training projects.

• Experience coordinating demand-driven training programmes across multiple locations

• Experience in on-the-job training and apprenticeships.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, practical training, and competency assessments.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Professional fluency in English; Ethiopian local-language skills are an advantage.
