We are seeking a professional, disciplined, and highly trustworthy Safety and Security Guard to join our international school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, parents, teachers, staff, and visitors. Our school serves a diverse international community; therefore have the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and personal conduct are required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and control access to school premises.
Verify identification and authorize entry of students, staff, parents, visitors, and contractors.
Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
Manage traffic flow during student drop-off and pick-up times.
Assist during emergency situations as required.
Deliver efficient safety and security services to staff, students, and visitors on the school campus and at ICS-rented houses.
Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable.
Conduct regular patrols of school buildings and grounds.
Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.
Maintain accurate security logs, visitor records, and incident reports.
Assist with emergency procedures, evacuations, and fire-safety protocols.
Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized access immediately.
Support the school administration during special events and high-profile visits.
Protect the confidentiality and privacy of students, families, and school personnel.
Maintain respectful and professional communication with students, parents, staff, and visitors.
Follow all school security policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Police or Army training with five (5) years' experience
Previous experience as a security guard, preferably in a school, embassy, international organization, hotel, corporate, or other professional environment.
High School completion with a valid certificate
A valid Auto or Second grade driving license.
Good physical fitness and alertness.
Excellent integrity, reliability, and professional judgment.
Strong observation and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
First-aid, fire-safety, or security-related training is an advantage.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
Basic computer skills are an advantage.
Clean professional record and satisfactory background checks.
Good command of English.
