Senior Technician

Job Description

Location: Addis Ababa

Job Purpose:

Responsible for installation, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery and electrical/electromechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, operate, inspect, and maintain industrial machinery.

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical faults.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Diagnose machine problems and carry out necessary repairs.

• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.

• Work with production teams to minimize machine downtime.

• Maintain maintenance records and report technical problems.

• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.

• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians.

• Operate and troubleshoot Italian-manufactured machinery.

• Coordinate with foreign technicians or suppliers when required.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 3–5 years of relevant industrial experience.

• Strong practical knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems.

• Experience operating and maintaining Italian-manufactured machinery is highly preferred.

• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical manuals.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good knowledge of industrial safety procedures.

• Fluency in Arabic is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
