Job Purpose

The Video Editor and Videographer is Responsible to create high-quality video content that tells compelling brand stories, enhances digital presence, and drives audience engagement across all marketing channels.

Position Title: Video Editor and Videographer

Reports To: Creative Team Leader / Marketing Head

Duty Station: Addis Ababa Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities

• Video Production (Videography)

• Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content for campaigns and events.

• Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment professionally.

• Capture engaging real estate visuals.

• Video Editing

• Edit footage into polished videos for social media and ads.

• Apply motion graphics, color grading, and sound design.

• Collaborate on concepts and storyboards.

• Adapt content for different platforms.

• Brand Consistency

• Ensure all content aligns with brand standards.

• Workflow & Delivery

• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Stay updated with trends and tools.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Cinematography, Film Production, Media, or related field

Professional Experience

• 2–4 years of proven experience in videography and video editing

• Familiarity with different camera types, lenses, and stabilization equipment, including gimbals, tripods, and other camera accessories.

Core Professional Skills

• Strong background in cinematography (camera operation, lighting, composition, framing)

• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve)

• Knowledge of color grading and color correction techniques

• Experience in motion graphics and basic animation

• Understanding of storytelling, scripting, and shot composition

• Knowledge of audio recording, editing, and sound design

• Familiarity with different camera types, lenses, and stabilization equipment

• Understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings

• Ability to manage and organize video files and assets

• Basic photography skills (optional but preferred)

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues during production and editing

• Awareness of current video trends and digital content strategies
