Scope of the Role
The Corporate Social Responsibility Officer [CSR Officer] is responsible for the implementation of the company's strategies, which support the company’s CSR objectives. He/she conducts research, comes up with ideas, supports in developing policies, creates and implements detailed plans, builds relationships with partner organizations, and then implements and coordinates a range of activities and initiatives which are designed to have a positive impact on the environment and local communities where the company operates.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Community Investment and PR activities.
- Working closely with the CEO, develop and manage new and existing external partnerships.
- Ensuring a company has a positive impact on local communities where it operates in and the environment it does business within.
- Evaluate CSR initiatives against industry standards; analyze results and develop action plans to ensure Komari Beverage PLC has a best-in-class CSR program.
- Develop, analyze, and evaluate the impact, resource requirements, and cost/benefit of new CSR programs.
- Propose new programs and initiatives to the company management.
- Work with all departments? for continuous improvement of teams to make sure that we reach our targets in terms of CSR Objectives.
- Handle reports to different external authorities.
- Building public awareness of the company’s commitments through marketing and other means
- Conducting research into best practices for implementation
- Handling all sponsorship requests by communicating with the responsible department
- Working with the marketing department to ensure that all branding strategies are socially responsible.
- Managing the implementation of the company's social responsibility strategy
- Ensuring that a company’s CSR policies meet legal and commercial needs
- Using internal communications to reinforce the company’s social responsibility policies.
- Assisting the Management in developing, managing, and evolving social responsibility policies.
- Build and follow up on social and other projects according to the company budget.
- Encouraging links between the company and educational or charitable groups
- Building a strategy to support organizations by being compliant with the law.
- Reporting on social responsibility activity with its impact on senior managers.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by the CEO.
Education:
- BA/BSc in Public Relations, Strategic Communication, Journalism, Business Administration, and related fields.
Experience:
Skills:
A passion for corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
Strong communication skills.
Willing to travel within Ethiopia.
Logical and analytical thinking skills.
Sensitivity and understanding.
Knowledge of how businesses operate.
