We are looking to employ a sales-driven and customer-oriented Sales Officer to oversee our sales activities and drive growth using a modern, digitally-focused sales strategy.

Key Role Focus (Updated Description)

  • The Sales Officer's responsibilities include:
  • Recommending improvements to current sales strategies
  • Informing potential and existing customers of company promotions,
  • Preparing accurate sales and expense reports, 
  • Continually identifying new sales opportunities.

Crucially, this role will also be responsible for leveraging digital tools and content creation (including video) to enhance prospecting, client engagement, and product communication.

To be successful, you should be persuasive, knowledgeable of industry regulations, and possess a strong work ethic, exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, along with proficiency in creating engaging digital sales content.

Sales Officer Responsibilities (Integrate Digital Tasks)

  • Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Calling potential customers to explain company products and encourage purchases.
  • Answering customers' questions and escalating complex issues to the relevant departments as needed.
  • Creating and utilizing engaging multimedia content (e.g., short videos, product demos, and infographics using tools like Canva) for client communication and sales pitches.
  • Confidently presenting company products or services on-camera for promotional and educational purposes.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of company products.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer complaints.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to ensure the company is reaching its target audience, including coordinating sales-focused digital campaigns.
  • Informing product developers of possible product improvements and changes to ensure that company products meet current market needs.
  • Analyzing competitors' products to determine product features, benefits, shortfalls, and market success.
  • Key Skills and Competencies (Highlight Digital)
  • Digital Content Creation: Ability to design compelling sales visuals and short videos using tools like Canva and basic video editing software to communicate product value.
  • Verbal Communication & Presentation Skills: Clear, persuasive, and professional speaking skills, with confidence in presenting products or services to individuals or groups, both in-person and on-camera.
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Ability to identify potential clients and develop new business opportunities, leveraging digital platforms and content.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Convincing clients, handling objections, and finalizing deals effectively.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the company’s products/services to communicate benefits clearly.
  • CRM & Sales Planning: Maintaining and updating client information; developing strategies to meet sales targets and KPIs.
  • Digital Marketing Awareness: Knowledge of social media, email marketing, or online lead generation is a strong advantage.

Qualifications for Sales Officers (Emphasize Digital Fluency)

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of sales strategies and industry regulations.
  • Demonstrated basic proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Canva, mobile video editors) for sales material creation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Fluency in speaking and writing English. Other local & international language fluency is a plus.
