Position summary statement:

The Director of Operations (DOO) must have an excellent level of commercial awareness and can build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests. He / She is responsible to direct and lead the daily operations and assist the General Manager in the development and business components of the serviced suites through providing effective and relationship-oriented leadership. The DOO is responsible for highlighting issues to the General Manager to help formulate solutions. He / she will co-ordinate all activities of the serviced suites and ensure the maximization of room revenue and profit and guests’ satisfaction. The DOO is required to assist in the preparation of the annual Budget and monthly forecasting process. The DOO will also work very closely with the senior management team members in developing and implementing annual and medium-term strategies, championing projects and objectives to achieve profitability and business growth targets as set and agreed by Hotel Noesis.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security
  • Ensure consistent implementation of Hotel Noesis brand standards and SOPs
  • Lead and inspire Heads of Departments to deliver excellence in service and operations
  • Conduct regular operations meetings and align departmental strategies
  • Champion guest satisfaction, service recovery, and experience innovation
  • Analyze hospitality trends and introduce forward-thinking improvements
  • Maintain top-tier condition of both guest-facing and back-of-house areas

Financial Management

  • Drive revenue growth and ensure cost control to achieve Gross Operating Profit targets
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with financial policies and audit requirements

People & Culture

  • Collaborate with the General Manager in developing and retaining high-performing talent
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to departmental leaders
  • Cultivate a positive workplace culture focused on associate satisfaction and team cohesion
  • Champion People & Culture initiatives to foster engagement and motivation

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all operational practices comply with local legal, health, and safety regulations
  • Promote a responsible and professional brand image at all times
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably assigned by the General Manager
  • Proven experience (3–4 years) as an Operations Manager in a 5-star mid-sized or boutique hotel
  • Strong operational background with expertise in Rooms, Sales, or Financial Management
  • Excellent understanding of revenue generation, budgeting, and local market dynamics
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership and people management skills
  • Passion for luxury hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
