Yod Abyssinia was established in 2003 with a mission to Yod Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant, one of the pioneering and most reputable cultural restaurants in Addis Ababa that has been introducing proudly the Ethiopian hospitality through diverse cuisines, culture, dance, and music for the last 20 years that meet the need of tourists, business travelers diaspora’s. Currently Yod is engaged in Cultural restaurant, International hotel, Travel and Tour and coffee processing businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and catering services. Ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with chefs to design menus that reflect current culinary trends and meet guest preferences. Set pricing and ensure ingredient availability. 
• Train, and supervise food and beverage staff. Foster a positive work environment and ensure high performance and motivation among team members. 
• Develop and manage budgets for food and beverage operations. Monitor inventory levels, manage ordering, and minimize waste to maximize profitability. 
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards. Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues or complaints promptly to enhance the dining experience. 
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in all food and beverage areas.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations

Required qualifications:

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with 2 years in a managerial role

Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven experience in cost control and inventory management
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards
