Job Position: Lead – Import and Export
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all import and export activities to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
Monitor end-to-end shipment processes including documentation, customs clearance, and delivery.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and internal policies.
Coordinate with banks for import/export-related transactions including L/C, CAD, and TT processes.
Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Negotiate freight rates, service terms, and contract renewals with external partners.
Track shipments and resolve operational issues such as delays, clearance problems, or delivery disruptions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders including procurement, finance, and warehouse teams.
Maintain import/export records and prepare operational reports for management.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Job Requirements
Education
BA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or other related fields.
Minimum Experience
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in Import and Export or Supply Chain operations.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
Experience in import/export documentation and banking processes.
Knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain operations.
Vendor management and negotiation skills.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments under tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
